The Golden Tornadoes will be sending nine athletes to the area track meet next week at Lubbock. Lamesa High School juniors Genesis Coker and James Rodriquez each qualified for the area meet in three events with strong performances last week at the District 3-4A Track & Field Championships at Lubbock. Rodriquez won the triple crown of sorts. He was crowned as 3-4A’s best in the long jump and both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
