Golden Tor head softball coach Vanessa Hernandez and Darrian Doederlein, a 2014 graduate of Lamesa High School, have spent special times together on the softball diamond. With Doederlein in Hernandez’s Golden Tornado softball line-up either on the mound or at first or third base, they made the state playoffs all four years that they were together. This past Thursday they found themselves back together on the diamond, but this time as opponents in the Big Spring Tournament.
