The Golden Tornado tracksters definitely had their bright spots last Thursday at Levelland in their final tune-up before this week’s District 3-4A championships. Senior speedster Zack Quintanilla was the Golden Tor tracksters’ lone gold medal winner, placing first in the 100-meter dash in 11.58. Quintanilla also took second place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.06. Junior hurdler James Rodriquez placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.55 and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.71.
