Folks who like to fish for rainbow trout may want to head to the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club Lake.The lake was stocked Thursday with 1,716 trout from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Possum Kingdom Fish Hatchery near Graford.The annual stocking is a cooperative effort of TPWD, the local Wilton Foundation, and the City of Lamesa.A second stocking is scheduled for Feb. 1 to boost the total number of trout placed in the lake this winter to about 3,500.“TPWD stocks catchable sized fish during winter months to create unique winter angling opportunities throughout Texas,” said Carl Kittel, TPWD ...
