Facing their second top-five team in as many games, the Lamesa High School girls put up a strong battle here on Friday against Here-ford. Hereford, the top ranked girls team in Class 4A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, wound up capturing a 62-41 win over Lamesa.
