Two members of the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes grid team earned first-team honors on this year’s Class 4A, Division 2, District 1 all-district squad. Two others earned second-team recognition, with nine members of the Golden Tornadoes listed in honorable mention slots. “I was really hoping to have more on that team, but the teams that finish highest in district normally get most of the honors,” Lamesa Coach Rodney Sims said.
