The Lady Mustangs basketball team from Sands High School is off to a 7-0 start after capturing a tournament title last weekend and another win on Tuesday. Sands latest win was a statement-making 42-26 victory at Ackerly over state-ranked Jayton. The Lady Mustangs jumped out to a 24-14 halftime lead and outscored their visitors 8-2 in the third quarter before cruising to the win. “We had a good defensive third quarter which made the difference in the game,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said.
