Klondike’s girls opened tournament action on Friday morning with a solid 54-17 win over the Pecos junior varsity. “I think we played really well to get things started early in the morning,” Klondike Coach Xavier Elizondo said. “We played as a team and had a really good defensive effort.” Scoring in double digits for the Lady Cougars were Frenda Friesen with 11 points and Haleigh Archer and Megan Arismendez with 10 points each.
