Klondike’s Cheyenne Gruben is quick to admit that she really did not give college volleyball much of a thought until recently. “I was pretty surprised at first when the coach up at Wayland (Baptist) started talking to me about trying out up there. I really didn’t know what to expect,” Gruben said this past week. “After that try-out the coach started talking to me about becoming part of the team.” She now plans to do just that, signing a letter with Wayland Baptist on Friday. “We’re so excited for her.
