Lamesa’s junior high athletes continue showing early promise on the track. All four junior high track squads competed in their second meet of this season on March 7 at Denver City. Sean Zapata won both the eighth grade boys’ shot put and discus at Denver City. Richard Dimas won the seventh grade boys’ long jump and ran a leg on the Golden Tornadoes’ winning 800-meter relay.
