Golden Tor sophomore Yenesie Guevara enjoys running at Lubbock’s Mae Simmons Park.As it turns out, Guevara is getting the chance to run on that course one more time this fall.Guevara qualified for the Region I-3A Cross Country Championships at Mae Simmons Park on Oct. 25 after finishing 10th in the varsity boys race at the District 3-3A Championships on Tuesday.Guevara turned in a time of 19:19.73 on the three-mile course.“Yenisei is a talented young man who ran an outstanding race on a very difficult course.
