Sands High School graduate Mattie Grumbles apparently has found a home her second year as a collegiate golfer. After things didn’t quite work out last year at College of the Southwest at Hobbs, N,M, Mattie moved to Goodwill, Okla. and is now teeing off for the Panhandle State University Aggies. It’s been a good move. The 2019 Sands graduate turned in Top-20 individual finishes in all four of Panhandle State’s tournaments last fall including eighth at the Ranger Invitational at Enid, Okla.
