A four-hour bus trip to Sonora on Thursday had to feel even longer on the way home for the Golden Tornadoes’ JV football team. After kicking off their season last week with an exciting come-from-behind win over San Angelo Lake View, the Golden Tors’ JV was hoping to make it two straight in the win column at Bronco Stadium. The Golden Tors had their chances. The game was tied at the half but two second-half Bronco touchdowns turned out being the difference as Sonora captured a 20-8 victory. “We just didn’t compete very well,” said Golden Tor Coach Gerry Woodbery.
