A big first half turned out being just enough for the Golden Tornadoes’ JV football team Thursday evening at Kermit as they celebrated their first win of the season by holding off the Yellowjackets, 24-22, in a nailbiter. Lamesa was up 16-0 at the half before opening 24-0 third quarter lead. Kermit score its first TD in the third quarter and got two more tin the fourth quarter.
