When the Golden Tornadoes’ football squad started its workouts here bright and early here Monday morning a familiar face was part of the Lamesa High School coaching staff. Chris Arredondo, a 2000 LHS graduate, will continue his coaching career right here at his high school alma mater this fall. In the fall of 1999, Arredondo was a key player on the Golden Tornadoes’ state semi-finalist football team – only the second to advance that far in the football playoffs in school history.
