Winning two out of their three games, Lamesa’s eighth grade girls A basketball squad took second place this past weekend in the two-day Andrews Tournament. “We played good basketball throughout this tournament. Our girls played hard and kept showing improvement,” Coach Gerry Woodberry said. “I was proud of the way our girls represented Lamesa.” Lamesa opened the tournament last Thursday by beating Andrews.
