The O’Donnell Eagles’ second season as a high school softball program ended Tuesday evening against New Home’s JV. The Eagles gave the Leopards all they wanted before coming up just a little short, 12-8.These young Eagles found themselves in a tough District 4-1A with playoffbound Borden County and Westbrook.“Our girls improved from start to finish,” O’Donnell Coach Blake Nichols said Nichols said. “We’re still learning the game which puts us in a tough spot.”Eagle softball finished its season at 1-9 with its first win in program history coming on March 21 against Midland Texas Leadership Academy, 17-166, at O’Donnell.
