The O’Donnell Eagles girls basketball squad is off to a 2-0 start after coming home Thursday night from Stanton with a 51-24 win over the Class 3A Buffaloes. O’Donnell senior Zaelan Gloria and junior Maddye Sumners both came close to turning in rare triple doubles for the Eagles. Gloria, a four-year varsity starter, had 16 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. Sumners had seven points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Gab Rosales had seven points while Emily Renteria, Ari Gutierrez and Bethanie Bolton had six points each. ...
