The Dawson Dragons dropped their basketball doubleheader Saturday to Lubbock’s Christ the King. The Dragons fell to the Golden Lions, 76-38, in the high school boys game. A slow start took its toll on the Dragons, who trailed 27-0 at the end of the first quarter and 40-17 at the half. “We haven’t even had a practice were we had all six of our guys there,” Dawson Coach John Hodges said. “When we finally got to a game our guys were shellshocked against a team where all of their guys just play basketball. “Once our guys ran our offense they could see it works.
