After baffling opposing batters this past spring for the Golden Tornadoes, it looked like Cam Diaz had just about figured out the art of pitching.
But the recent Lamesa High School graduate is the first to admit that he’s still a long ways to go.
The District 3-3A baseball MVP has spent most of his summer pitching in a league where the majority of the players were already competing at the college level.
“You make any kind of mistake in this league and they’re going to make you pay for it, so you’ve always got to be on your toes,” Diaz said.
