A strong start wasn’t quite enough for the Klondike girls basketball squad last Saturday afternoon against Lockney in their fourth and final game of the huge Caprock Holiday Basketball Classic at Lubbock. The Cougar girls owned an 8-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. The game was tied 17-all at the half.
