Klondike’s high school girls’ hoop squad got an unexpected break from the District 8-A race Tuesday evening, which made the smile on their faces even broader later that night. Coach Kelsey Canavan’s Cougars were scheduled to play their second 8-1A game Tuesday at Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy but had to change plans after that game was cancelled Monday night.
