The Borden County Coyotes are heading back to the Class 1A state softball tournament. The Coyotes secured their third trip to state in the past four years by defeating the Eula Lady Pirates, 6-3, in the Region 1 championship game on Friday afternoon in Abilene. The Coyotes have now knocked off three Top 10 opponents in the playoffs: No. 9 Claude, No. 1 Hermleigh, and Eula, which ranked No. 3 when their season came to an end.
