As Borden County’s head coach Bubba Edwards has been recognized as the Coach of the Year three times: once by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and twice by the Texas Six-Man Coaches Association. He’s coached nine different teams to the regional tournament, including four during his tenure at Gail. Edwards’ son Trey is now beginning to turn heads as a talented high school basketball player in his own right.
