Aynes heads to state

Thursday’s girls state power lifting championships at Corpus Christi won’t mark the end of the power lifting season for the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes. After the boys regional meet this past Saturday at Sundown, Lamesa now has the boys state power lifting championships on their schedule for next week at Abilene. Lamesa senior Charles Aynes was crowned the Region I Division II champion in the 308-pound division in record-breaking fashion.
