From having two football teams ranked in the top 10 in the state last fall to a state championship girls track team in May, the past school year was an exciting one for the small schools in the Lamesa area. The athletic excellence at those schools is still being recognized, as this area is sending eight athletes and a coaching staff to this weekend’s Texas Six-Man Coaches Association’s allstar games at Wichita Falls.
