Four players from Borden County and one from Klondike have received all-state recognition in football from the Texas Six Man Coaches Association. The lone first-team selection from the Lamesa area on the six-man Division I all-state team is Borden County junior Cam Edwards, who was honored as a kicker. An all-purpose player for the Coyotes, Edwards was particularly effective in converting the point-after-touchdown kicks that are particularly important in six-man football because they count for two points each.
