The Sands Mustangs and Klondike Cougars renewed their old rivalry Tuesday night with a District 8-1A doubleheader at Ackerly. When the smoke finally cleared both schools had something to smile about. A strong start helped the Mustang girls hold off the Cougars, 43-24. Sands had a 13-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 23-6 halftime edge.
