It was time to come back from Mexico. It wasn’t because of the weather. The weather was wonderful. The nights up in the mountains were cool, and the days were warm, and sometimes, in the afternoons, a thunderstorm would roll in, and a refreshing rain would fall, leaving the air clean and sweet. No. It wasn’t the weather.

The Klondike Cougars are ranked 21st this week in Class 1A volleyball by the Texas Girls Coaches Association and they continue looking the part even without their head coach Katie Cruz being present at their matches.
One of the biggest bright spots for the Golden Tornadoes’ cross country squad last Saturday in Big Spring’s Eric Stinson Invitational was Rico Enriquez.
