Yolanda Molina

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Yolanda Molina, age 64, entered Heaven’s gates on February 13, 2021 in Lubbock, TX.   She was born in Lamesa, Texas, on January 17, 1957.
Those who knew Yolanda, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Yolanda affected many people in her lifetime. A loving wife, adored mother and homemaker, Yolanda was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays.  She made a house feel like a home. The love of Yolanda’s life was her husband, Joe Molina. Joe and Yolanda married on July 17, 1974 in Greeley, Colorado.
She was a member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was above all passionate and proud of all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by her husband, her one true love and best friend of 47 years. She had a long-standing relationship with God and was very blessed with her faith. Yolanda will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul
She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. These words of encouragement, wisdom, and sometimes comfort, kept us in line, taught us all aspects of life and gave us something to pass down to our children. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in them her strong values that have served them well.  Her family knew her only as a kind and mild-mannered mentor. She always had beauty in her loving heart, and grace in her style. She is fondly remembered by her brothers, sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Covenant Hospital for their great care in the last couple of months, and to our dad, Joe Molina, who provided invaluable care for his loving wife Yolanda for many years. She will be missed by family and numerous friends.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at La Trinidad United Methodist Church with Pastor Jesse Pena.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 situations face masks are required at the funeral home and church.
