Victor Flores

    A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Victor Flores of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with celebrant Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Victor Flores – loving father, devoted grandfather, and a friend of many– passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Lamesa, TX, at the age of 62. 
    Victor was born on December 14, 1959 in Lamesa, TX. He was the second oldest of 6 children born to Reyes (Alaquinez) and Julio Flores, Sr.
    Victor is preceded in death by his mother, Reyes Alaquinez Flores.
    Victor loved his family, as he always made sure to visit his loved ones. He will always be remembered for his big heart, kindness, and generosity. He was very dedicated to his job as he was employed with Mesa Irrigation for 26 years, and many years before with Anderson Chevron Station. 
    Victor loved his San Francisco 49ers and was a collector of many. Victor will be dearly missed by his loved ones and all the friends he made throughout the years.
    Victor is survived by his sons, Victor Flores, Jr. and Adam Flores, both of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Linda Rivera and husband Zachary of Big Spring, TX., and Corina Rodriguez and husband Jimmy of Galveston, TX., his step-daughter, Vanessa Flores of Elkhart, Kansas; 9 grandchildren; his father, Julio Flores, Sr. of Lamesa, TX; his brothers, Julio Flores, Jr. and wife Yolanda, Rudy Flores, Sr. and wife Anna, Jimmy Flores and wife Inez, all of Lamesa, TX., and Sammy Flores, Sr. and wife Blanca of San Antonio, TX.; his sister, Leticia Trevino and husband Hernando of Lamesa, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 
    Pallbearers honoring Victor are Zachary Rivera, Danny Vasquez, Jr., Clemente Olvera, Jr., Felipe Valdez, Jr., Daniel Valdez, and Matthew Valdez.
