Tiodoro Baltazar

    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Tiodoro Baltazar, age, 70 of Lamesa at 10:00 a.m.  Friday August 14, 2020 with limited gathering at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Please, you must wear a face mask during the church service. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety.
    Visitation and viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, and Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary prayer services held at 7:00 p.m. 
    Tiodoro passed away on Monday August 10, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born on June 7, 1950 in Lamesa. Tiodoro married Hortencia Hernandez in 1983 in Lamesa. 
    He was preceded in death by his father, Cruz Baltazar, Sr.; his brothers, Joe Baltazar, Luis Baltazar, Sr. and Jessie Baltazar, Sr.; his great-grand daughter, Madison Jade Baltazar; his step-son, Manuel Hernandez. 
    Tiodoro was a professional automotive dealership service and detail man in Lamesa during his long years of employment. He loved spending precious time with his family, watching TV at home, enjoyed oldies’ music, and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
    Tiodoro is survived by his wife, Hortencia Hernandez of Lamesa; his mother, Amelia G. Baltazar of Lamesa; his son, Johnny Baltazar of Fort Worth, Texas; his daughter, Leticia Baltazar Sanchez of Midland, TX.; his step-sons, Patricio Hernandez and Anthony Hernandez, both of Lamesa, Eddie Hernandez of Anson, TX., Peter Hernandez and Felipe Hernandez, both of Abilene, TX., and Max Hernandez of Big Spring, TX.; his step-daughter, Isabel Hernandez of Abilene, TX.; 4 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Cruz Baltazar, Jr. and Henry Baltazar, Sr., both of Lamesa, and Lupe Baltazar, Sr. of San Antonio, TX.; his sisters, Mary Ybarra, Adelita Iglesias, Janie Baltazar, Mickey Bara, Sylvia Munoz, and Lyria Martinez, all of Lamesa; numerous relatives and friends.
    Pallbearers, Cruz Baltazar, Jr., Lupe Baltazar, Sr., Henry Baltazar, Sr., Albert (Cuco) Sanchez, Anthony Hernandez, and Patricio Hernandez.
