Sylvia Ann Moncallo

    Funeral services for Sylvia Ann Moncallo, age 53, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the River of Life Church located at 116 Austin Avenue with Pastor Mike Barkowsky officiating.
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Visitation will be held starting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020, with a family visitation hour from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
    Sylvia passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Lubbock. 
    She was born on December 19, 1966 in Lamesa. 
    She was preceded in death by her father, Jose F. Moncallo.
    Sylvia was currently employed with WTO of Lamesa. She also worked as a dental assistant and at the juvenile probation office. Sylvia had a passion for volunteer work with her church, River of Life, Lamesa’s Movieland, The Dream Center, Celebrate Recovery, and Church on the Rock, all from Lubbock, TX., the Food Bank, Back-to-School Give-Aways, Hope for Lamesa and foster care with children. 
    She loved her dogs. Sylvia enjoyed spending precious quality time with her nephews, nieces, family, and her grandchildren. She especially loved her mom’s home-made bean burritos.
    Sylvia is survived by her son, Adrian Sanchez and wife, Amanda Sanchez of Odessa, TX.; grandchildren, Ashtyn,  Justin, Jackson, and Khi,; her mother, Mary Moncallo of Lamesa, TX.; her brothers, Jesse Moncallo and wife, Alicia and family of Lamesa, TX., Gilbert Moncallo of Lamesa, TX., and Gabriel Moncallo and wife, Martha and family of Lubbock, TX.; her sisters, Elvira Maldonado and family of Lamesa, TX., Yolanda Dooley and husband, Lex and family of Lubbock, TX., and Diane Sanchez of Lubbock, TX.; her aunt, Julia Contreras of Lamesa; her cousins, Patti and Mark Flores of Midland, TX., and Terry Contreras of Lamesa, TX.; her beloved dogs, Diesel, Chanell, and Raider-Raider; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
