Suzanne Ferrell

    Suzanne Goen Ferrell went home to her dear Lord and Savior on November 12, 2019. 
    She was born to James Earl Goen and Willie Cason Goen in Houston, TX on January 20, 1931. She was raised in Lamesa, TX and graduated from Lamesa High School in 1949.
    Suzanne worked for Snyder ISD for 20 years as a teacher’s aide and the High School library Aide. She was a member of First Baptist  Church where she taught various ages of Bible study for over 50 years.
     She married Otdis Lavel Ferrell (her beloved PeeWee) on December 23, 1951. They were married a little over 57 years when he preceded her in death on February 10, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Mark Goen, and sister Judy Goen Wallace.
    She is survived by her three children: Susan Scott and husband Larry of Snyder. Cynthia Mayes and husband Buddy of Midland, and Stan Ferrell and wife Rose of Allen, TX. Suzanne had six grandsons who were the light of her life: Layne Scott of Copperas Cove; Jay Scott and wife Meredith of New Braunfels; Lee Scott of Snyder; Marshall Mayes and wife Whitney of Midland; Christopher Ferrell and Clinton Ferrell of Dallas. She also absolutely adored her great-grandchildren: Maverick and Everly Mayes of Midland and Ava Scott of New Braunfels. She is survived by several nieces and nephews on the Ferrell side of the family and her Brother’s son John Goen and her sister’s son Wesley Alexander.
     A family burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service on Friday, November 15, 2019 at two o’clock pm at First Baptist Church Auditorium with Reverend Ben Reid officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
