Susan Martin

    Susan Elaine Martin, 63, passed peacefully into her eternal home on September 17, 2019. 
    She was born in Lamesa on November 4, 1955 and lived here her entire life. Susan professed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Crestview Baptist Church at an early age.
    Susan was greatly loved by many friends and family. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1974. Susan was a diligent employee; her career included B&J Welding Supply, First National Bank of Lamesa, Automated Controls, and Lamesa National Bank. 
    Susan was preceded in death by her father John Martin, sister Glenda Martin Stanfield, and nephew Shane Stanfield. 
    Her survivors include her mother Ruby Martin, brother Ken Martin and wife Libby, and sister Sherrie Keating, nieces DeeDee Packer, Amy Dugger, Reagan Riley, and Jennifer Riley, and nephews Cole Martin and Chad Riley; also many great nieces and nephews will miss Aunt Susan. She also leaves behind her beloved Labradoodle, Maddie. 
    The family would like to thank her friends for their love and support, most especially Amy Balague, Mirl Clement, and Ruth Teal. They would also like to thank the employees of Lamesa National Bank for the support they’ve shown Susan during her short illness.
    Funeral service will be held at Branon Funeral Home Chapel September 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Ken Martin officiating. A private burial will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. 
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, TX 79601 or your favorite charity.
