Ruby Miller

    Memorial services for Ruby Joyce Miller, 88, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Lamesa with Pastor Mike Matheny officiating.  
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  
    Ruby passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 in Lubbock.  
    She was born June 24, 1931 in Needville, TX to Anna Mae (Barnett) and John W. Beatty.  She married Charlie Miller December 8, 1947 in Brownfield.  He preceded her in death July 27, 2006.  They were married 58 years. 
    Ruby was a lifetime member of the Medical Arts Hospital Auxiliary and served as a Pink Lady.  She was a private duty nurse for 20 years.  She loved working in her yard and crocheting.  
    Ruby is survived by her son, Gary Miller of Big Spring; sisters, Margaret Boswell of Adkins, Wilma Taylor of Lubbock, Sharon Diggs, and Betty Leonard both of Lamesa; brothers, John Beatty and wife, Beverly of Brownwood, Garland Beatty of Lamesa, Bobby Beatty and wife, Jannell of Justin, Jimmy Beatty and wife, Kaye of Lamesa, and Nickey Beatty and wife, Vicky of Justin; grandchildren, Holly Wimberly, Lee Wimberly, Laquersha Salinas, and Amy Salinas all of Odessa; and several great-grandchildren.  
    Ruby is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kay Salinas; granddaughter, Jennifer Wimberly; sisters, Elizabeth Townsend, and Loyce Lawhon; and brothers, Buddy Beatty, Clyde Beatty, Jerry Beatty, and Sammy Beatty.  
    The family suggests memorials to Medical Arts Hospital Auxiliary.
