Mass of Christian burial for Richardo “Rick” Barron, 59, of Lamesa, will be held Monday, August 1, 2022, at 2:00pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rosary will be said Saturday, July 30, 2022, and Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
Rick passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, in Lubbock. He was born November 10, 1962, in Lamesa, TX to Jose and Lucia (Zuniga) Barron.
First and foremost, Rick loved his family and friends.
He worked for the Lubbock Civic Center as a stage and lighting technician and many other different jobs as he was a jack of all trades.
Rick loved gardening, reading, or just sitting outside enjoying a beer, company and music. His love for his family and friends was as deep as his love for his music. Whether working or attending Rock & Roll concerts he met many of his lifelong friends. No one was a stranger to him just a friend he hadn’t inspired yet. A friend who would eventually have a memorable story to tell. Peace and Love!
Rick is survived by his father, Jose Barron, Sr. of Lamesa: sisters, Gina Barron Jordan and husband Haden Brown of Kansas City, MO., and Yolanda Barron of Lubbock; brothers, Antonio “Tony” Barron and wife Ramona of Yorba Linda, CA and Joey Barron and wife Kristie of Lamesa; numerous nieces and nephews and his longtime loving companion Kathryn Moody and closest to a son, Zachary.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother Lucia.
