Richard Sealy, 72, of Lamesa, went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, March 23rd, in Lamesa, TX.
Richard was born on May 9, 1949 to Ardeth N Sealy, Sr, and Erma Laberta Sealy in Santa Maria, California. He grew up in the small agricultural town of Santa Paulo, CA. After retiring from the service, he worked as a diesel mechanic.
“Stretch,” as his friends called him, enjoyed many creative hobbies including model aircraft, working with metal, and woodworking. He was a very generous man, always selflessly giving of his time and services and gifting his friends with his many projects or a meal. He was very active in his church at Welch Church of Christ and the Emmaus/Kairos community, and the family he has there will all miss him dearly. Stretch always had time for anyone and made an impact on everyone blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lavonna, and his wife of thirty years, Joyce.
He is survived by his brother Ardeth Norvel Sealy Jr of San Jose, California, and his daughter of Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at Welch Church of Christ in Welch.
