Ramiro Tejeda

    Graveside service for Ramiro Tejeda, 83, of Lamesa, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Viewing will begin Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. 
    Ramiro was born June 25, 1938, in Falfurrias, Tx. to Manuel and Beatrice (Rodriguez) Tejeda. He passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at home surrounded by his loved ones. 
    After meeting Guadalupe “Lupe” Gutierrez, the love of his life, in O’Donnell, they later married in October of 1958 in Lamesa. They were married 63 years. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for many years and worked as an insurance salesman for a short time before going to work at Roy Motor Company where he made many friends and grew a passion for cars, which he passed on to his two sons. He was affectionately known by those he loved as “Konky” and “Milo.” He will be dearly missed. 
    Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lupe Tejeda; children, Gilbert Tejeda, Linda Tejeda Arismendez and husband, Rick, and Ruben Tejeda all of Lamesa; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Eloisa Lopez and husband, Frank of San Angelo; brothers, Rosendo Tejeda of Kingsville, and Johnny Tejeda and wife, Irma of Altus,Ok and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reynaldo, Rodolfo, Reymundo, Robert, Ismael, and Eloy; and sister, Ofelia Villagomez.
