Paul Crow

    Paul Crow was born September 6, 1931 in Dawson County, Lamesa, Texas to A.D. and Pauline (Jackson) Crow. He entered the Lord’s Kingdom through holy baptism in 1941, at Midway Baptist Church. He was baptized in Mullins Creek. He surrendered for the ministry during a youth revival at First Baptist Church in Lamesa, Texas in 1947. 
    Paul graduated from Lamesa High School, class of 1950.  He attended Hardin Simmons and McMurray College in Abilene, Texas.
Paul married Ava Jo Spencer on November 24, 1952, in Lamesa, Texas. He was blessed with two children: Charlotte Crow and Royce Crow. 
    Paul supported his family by working the land as a farmer. He also owned and operated several businesses in Lamesa, Texas. Paul proudly served in the National Guard for 10 years. He also served a number of churches as pastor throughout the West Texas and south plains area. 
    His hobbies included the National Quarter Horse Association, golfing, and playing with grandchildren. At the age of 76 he finally retired. Later, he moved to Lubbock, Texas, November, 2013.
    On the morning of February 13, 2021 he passed after 89 years, 4 months, and 7 days. 
    He is survived by his wife, Ava Jo Crow, residing at Lakeridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, of Lubbock, Texas. His daughter, Charlotte Crow Owen, and son-in-law Jerry Owen live in Lubbock, Texas. His son, Royce Crow, and daughter-in-law Jane Crow live in Copperas Cove, Texas. Grandson Daniel Trevor Owen is active duty Air Force stationed at Joint Base McGuire Dix, New Jersey. Daniel is married to Stephanie Owen and they have three children: Savannah Renee, Brayden Maxwell, and Macy Adelyn. Grandson Michael Alan Owen currently resides in Lubbock, Texas with wife Brenna Owen and their two children Ava Michael and William Parker Owen. Grandson Jeremy Paul Owen has two children, Wesley and Addyson Grace. They live in Keller, Texas.
    Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas.
