Pastor Ramiro Lumbreras Sr. 

    A celebration of life service for Pastor Ramiro Lumbreras, Sr., will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at The Faith of God In Christ Church with Pastor Ramiro Lumbreras, Jr. officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held at The Faith of God In Christ Church on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Friday, September 22, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an Inspirational and Songs service. 
    The Lord called Ramiro home on Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on January 26, 1958, in Cotulla, TX. Ramiro married Idolina Hernandez on May 2, 1981, in Big Wells, TX.
    Ramiro was preceded in death by his wife, Idolina Lumbreras on November 10, 2022; his father, Domingo F. Lumbreras and his mother, Eduarda Lumbreras.
Ramiro was a father of five, and the loving husband of Idolina. He grew up surrounded by his brothers and sisters, Mingo, Ruben, Juan, Zene, and Beatrice. He loved traveling to South Texas to visit them.
    Ramiro was the pastor of 30 years at The Faith of God In Christ Church of Lamesa from 1993 to 2023. His passion was preaching the Gospel and loving his community. Ramiro was apart of the jail ministry at the local county jails. He also served in the prison Spanish ministry in the Kairos ministry. Ramiro loved to sing praise worship. He loved making others laugh with his famous dad jokes and pranks.
    Ramiro is survived by his loving children, son, Ramiro Lumbreras, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Lubbock, TX., daughter, Tabitha L. Arredondo and husband Alexander of Lamesa, TX, daughter, Susanna Lumbreras of Wolfforth, TX., daughter, Naomi Ledesma and husband Isaiah from Lamesa, TX., son, Joshua Lumbreras of Lamesa, TX.; 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
