Neicey Roberts

    “Neicey” Geneice Roberts passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. 
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Blake Roberts; parents, Doris Carmichael and Imogene Hammond; brother, Ken Carmichael; honorary son, Marty Gilbert; special friends Gene and Berneice Edwards, and David “Squirrel” Mohler. 
    Her survivors include sons, Riche Bain and wife Dora of Robert Lee, TX, Tomas Hans of San Angelo, TX and Chad Roberts of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Braylie and Tanner Manson of Houston, TX, Madison Hans of Rowena, TX, Trace Hans, Saigon Hans, Maisyn Hans of Wall, TX, Levi Pierce and Dalli Roberts of Eden, TX, Graci Roberts of Wall, TX, Julie Rangel of Norton, TX, Eric Torres of Greenwood TX, Gilbert Torres of Bedford, TX, Lewis Samaniego of Robert Lee, TX; great grandchild, Blayze Foote; sister Martha Stone of Ackerly, TX; honorary sister, Francine Gilbert of Wall, TX; brother, Donald and wife Sue Carmichael of Point, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; honorary sons, Todd Jeys of San Angelo, Dane Gibbs of Buddha, TX, Kirk Boatright of Miles, TX.
    Pallbearers: Todd Jeys, Dane Gibbs, Kirk Boatright, Orlanda Rodriguez, Clay Stone, Jerry Stone.
    Honorary Pall Bearers: Jim Carmichael, Monty Gilbert, Shawn Edwards, Gary Gilbert, Randy Edwards.
    Everyone knew her as Neicey. She never met a stranger and was friends with everyone. She loved to cook, especially pancakes from scratch for her grand babies. The pancakes would start out small and would get bigger as they grew up. She loved shopping and was an avid bargain hunter. P.S. Ross, I promise you will not go out of business. She loved going to ropings to watch her husband and eldest son, Riche, rope. She loved her weenie dogs, especially Shadow. Watching tennis was one of her favorite things to do and she passed away while watching tennis. She was the toughest lady we knew.

    Visitation was held from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with family present from 1:00 to 3:00 on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am, Monday, February 22, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home’s Sherwood Way Chapel in San Angelo. Graveside services were held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, TX.
    Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
