Michael passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 in Odessa, TX.
He was born December 7, 1990 in Lubbock, TX.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, San Juanita Casarez; and his grandmothers, Petra Casarez, and Rachel Strugeon.
Juan Michael (Butterball) was a hardworking man that loved his oilfield job where he worked all his life, and missed when he was no longer working there, and loved his chickens and rooster family. He loved his moma very much. Michael was a very loving, kind, caring brother and friend; he would help anyone he could. He enjoyed cooking and BBQ (was a great cook),  being outside, and riding in his truck (blue ghost), being around his roosters, listening to music, eating and trying out new foods, sweets, travel, and all his life baking cakes.
Mike could always put a smile on our face, was always clowning-around, and making people around him laugh. Michael would light-up a room the moment he walked in, and his smile would brighten up your day. He really enjoyed being around and together with his friends and family, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed watching his teams, Texas Rangers baseball, the Dallas Cowboys, TV re-runs of the Minions with his niece Ruri and every Friday, TV’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, TikToks, and being on Facebook and making fun of his friends.  Juan Michael was a man who you looked up to, was a great son who always took care of his Moma and a great brother who looked out after his siblings. He will always be missed and loved, Rocking C’s will forever live long in your name.
Juan Michael is survived by his family, his father, Manuel Casarez, Jr., his brother, Manuel Casarez III, his sisters, Lucero Casarez, and Dakota Casarez, all of Lamesa, TX.; is grandfather, Manuel Casarez, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; his nephew, Myles Casarez, his nieces, Ruri J.
