Manuel Barron

    Graveside service for Manuel Barron, 89, will be held Friday, April 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Mike Matheny officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Manuel passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. 
    He was born December 25, 1930 in Knott, Texas to Santos and Florinda (Montos) Barron. He was the oldest of sixteen children. He married Sherry Beck Barron in Lamesa January 16, 1970. They were married 44 years.
    He worked for TG&Y for a few years and then retired from Medical Arts Hospital after 40 years. 
    Manuel is survived by his son, Michael Zane Barron Sr. and wife, Rebekah of Abilene; and grandchildren ,Sarah Barron, Stephen Barron, Zane Barron and Martin Barron all of Abilene; and three great grandchildren. 
    He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and granddaughter, Victoria Lillian Barron.
