Lupe Jimenez, Jr.

    Funeral service for Lupe Jimenez, Jr., 52, of Lamesa, Texas will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremiah Aguayo. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa, TX. A burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. 
    The viewing will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, 11a.m. to 9.p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
    Lupe passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born September 15, 1970, to Lupe Sr. and Gloria (Acosta) Jimenez in Muscatine, Iowa. Lupe owned and operated Blue Steel Construction. He loved playing the guitar, was a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family.
    He is survived by his children; Mirella Jimenez, Victoria Jimenez, Valerie Jimenez, Damion Jimenez, and Juan Jimenez; mother, Gloria Jimenez of Lamesa; brother, Jacob Jimenez of Amarillo; sisters, Christine Medrano of Midland, Juanita Reyna of Midland, Inez Jimenez of Minnesota, Marissa Jimenez of Midland, Adelia Jimenez of Lamesa, and Gloria Ortiz of Lamesa; grandchildren, Jenesis Jimenez, Hunter Guevara, Kayliana Smith, and Julianna Jimenez.  
    He is preceded in death by his father, Lupe Jimenez, Sr. and sister, Geneva Guzman. 
    Pallbearers to honor him are Bryan Reyna, Jose Ortiz, Daniel Guevara, Robert Guzman, Aaron Reyna, and Jose Luis Aguilar.
