Larry Nance

Larry Wayne Nance, of Village Mills, formerly of Lindale/Hideaway, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 14, 2023, with his family at his bedside at his home.
Larry, a very well-known home builder in East Texas, was born November 30, 1943, in Lamesa, TX. On January 14, he “lost the battle but won the war” and, no doubt, is now inspecting his heavenly home.
Larry strived for perfection and was motivated by keeping his many customers happy. If you asked Larry, his greatest accomplishment wasn’t his career of being an excellent contractor. It was being a devoted father and husband. Larry and his wife, Jane R. Nance, had a relationship that words cannot describe!
He is survived by his wife, Jane Redden Nance; sons, Mark Nance of Mineola, TX, Michael Nance and wife, Brittni, of Lindale, TX, Louis Nance of Village Mills, TX, Larry Hale and wife, Andrea, of Lumberton, TX; daughter, Larri Nance of Tyler, TX; granddaughters, Kara and Kinley; sisters, Anice Doshier of Hideaway, TX, and Sarah Schneider and husband, Jackie, of Midland, TX; brother, Lawrence Nance and wife, Cindi, of Tyler, TX; long-time best friends, Luke Rutledge and Dic Conley of Lindale, TX; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and construction associates too numerous to name.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Herbert “Herb”, and V.C. Burton Nance; brothers, Jim Nance and Royce Nance of Lamesa, TX; and his wife’s parents, Louis and Virginia Redden, and Johnny and Jeff Redden.
Larry’s celebration of life will be Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Old Lodge in Hideaway, TX.
