Judy Caswell Sumners Myers

Judy Caswell Sumners Myers, 69 of O’Donnell, Texas passed away on January 8, 2021 after complications from COVID-19.  
    Judith Kaye was born January 28, 1951 to V.O. and Mamie Caswell of O’Donnell, Texas. Judy graduated from O’Donnell High School in 1969 as an Honor student.  While attending Texas Tech, she met and married Ronny Sumners in 1970.  Together, Judy and Ronny had two sons, Ronald Chad and Jason Corbin.  Judy was a dedicated mom to her sons, and to their many friends.  Judy was full of life, and vibrant.  She loved people and loved to make people feel welcomed and loved.  
    Judy was an assistant office manager at Wayland Taylor John Deere Implement for many years.  She also enjoyed working with the farmers at the O’Donnell Co-Op Gin.  Judy loved and looked forward to the harvest season each year!  She began her retirement after leaving Nutrien Ag Solutions in Tahoka, Texas.  Judy was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of O’Donnell.  
    Judy married Fred Myers on June 7, 2017.  Together, they enjoyed dancing, music, road trips and time with the family and friends.
    Some of Judy’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Corbin Tate and Maddye Brooks.  If asked, she would tell you her kids and grandkids were her greatest accomplishments in her life.  She spent countless days and hours watching them participate in all sports.
    Judy is survived by her spouse, Fred Myers; son and wife, Chad and Farrah Sumners of O’Donnell; sisters, Marla Rexrode, Jan and Wayne Brown of Lubbock; many nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Cooley, Jude, or Juju; and a large number of extended family and friends who will forever remember her beautiful smile, hugs, and unconditional love.
    A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at O’Donnell Cemetery.
    If anyone chooses to send flowers the family requests you use Stock and Petal Florist in Lamesa or memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in O’Donnell.
