Juanita Cuellar Barron

    A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be held for Juanita Cuellar Barron, age 81, of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. 
    Viewing and visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Tuesday May 2, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Rosary Prayer services at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel starting at 7:00 p.m.
    Juanita passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Lamesa, Texas. 
    She was born December 8, 1941, in Ganado, Texas. Juanita married Claro Barron, Jr. on August 31, 1968, in Lamesa, Texas.
    Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Claro Barron, Jr.; her brothers, Gregorio Cuellar, Margarito Cuellar, Antonio Cuellar, Modesto Cuellar, Jose Cuellar; her sister, Rosa C. Macial; her parents, Sofia Rosalez Cuellar and Jose Angel Cuellar.
    Juanita was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where she dedicated her service with Las Guadalupanas. Juanita was a mother to all. She was a very kind and caring person, always making people laugh.
    Juanita is survived by her son, Brandon Cuellar of Lamesa, Texas; her nephew, Angel Cuellar of Lubbock, Texas; her niece, Carolina Cuellar of Lubbock, Texas; her great-niece, Rebecca Cuellar of Midland, Texas; her great-grand nieces, Kalisty Berlanga, and Lexi Berlanga, both of Midland, Texas; her great-grandson, Seus Berlanda of Midland, Texas; numerous relatives and friends.
    Honoring Juanita was her pallbearers are, Brandon Cuellar, Sues Berlanga, Lexi Berlanga, Kalisty Berlanga, Daniel Ogeda, Jr., Michelle Lynn Cuellar, David Trevino, Jr., Jacolby Cuellar.
