John Vega

    John Vega, 54, of Gonzales, TX went to be with the lord, Tuesday, May 14, 2024. John was born April 8, 1970 in Gonzales, TX to Pete and Janie Ramos Vega.         On September 25, 1992 he married the love of his life Cynthia Rodriguez Vega, the two had been together since the age of 14. He enjoyed being around all his family and attending Two Rivers Bible Church where he was a popular greeter at worship services. He enjoyed spreading the word of God and listening to all types of music. He was a strong man of God and loved to talk about his faith and journey to everyone. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan as well.
John was committed to providing for his family, not just financially, but in providing an abundance of love. He treasured all things family and was diligent in sharing his walk with the Lord with his family, leading them in his faith.
    John is survived by his wife Cynthia Vega of Gonzales, TX. His daughter Jerika Huerta and son-in-law Alexis Huerta of Gonzales, TX. His two sons Connor Vega and Caiden Vega, as well as his two grandchildren Angel Huerta and Ivan Huerta. His mother Janie Vega and stepfather Michael Polk. His brother Gilbert Vega (Kristi), sisters Lisa Lopez (Roger), Marion Vega, Rebecca Castillo (Alvin), Michele Polk, Beatrice Polk, and Rachel Cardoza (Mario). Grandmother Lydia Ramos and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and uncles. 
    He was preceded in death by his father Pete Hernadez Vega and twin brother Pete Vega Jr.
    The family received friends from on Friday, May 17, 2024 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating John’s life was held at 10 am Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the Two Rivers Bible Church with Pastor Jesse Elizondo officiating. Interment will follow in the Gonzales Catholic Cemetery. 
    Pallbearers: Alexis Huerta, Christopher Rodriguez, Vincent Rodriguez, Gilbert Vega, Frank Ramos, Alvin Costillo, Marshall “Gene” Cummings, and Jeremy Hernandez. Memorial contributions may be made to Two Rivers Bible Church.         Friends may leave their condolences to the family by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com.
