Jesus Barrientos

Jesus Barrientos passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. Funeral services will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home.
Jesus was born on January 17th, 1938 to Jose Antonio Barrientos and Eloiza DeLaFuente in El Barranco, Tamaulipas Mexico. He married Senaida Sauseda on August 29th, 1959 in Lyford, TX. Their son Jose Antonio (Tony) was born in 1960 and shortly after, work took them to Fowler, California where their daughter Melba was born in 1961. The family then moved to Lamesa in 1967, where their last daughter Doris was born in 1971. Along with raising their three children, they also helped raise their granddaughters Jennifer Fidler and Lindsey Osborne, which he always considered his own.
While in Lamesa, Jesus worked at Lamesa Co-op Gin and later the City of Lamesa where he retired from in 2000. His greatest accomplishment other than his family, was becoming a US citizen in 1995. He never forgot where he came from but was a proud American who embraced his civic duty.  He was always known as a man of few words, but his actions in the way he took care of and provided for his family spoke volumes. Through his strong work ethic, he ensured his family never went without.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Senaida Barrientos, son Tony Barrientos (Louisa) of Lamesa, daughter Melba McNeme (Steve) of Wolfforth and Doris Leal (George) of Rockwall. Six granddaughters Jennifer Fidler (Taylor) of Wolfforth, Lindsey Osborne (Trey) of Lamesa, Daniela Delgado (Steven) of McAllen, Cassandra Guerra (Jay) of Colorado Springs, Co, Katarina Spaulding (Nathan) of Rockwall and Mickaela Leal of Monroe, LA.  Eleven great grandchildren: Elayne, Michael, Luke, Jessie, Ella, Caroline, Evelyn, Nolan, Zachary, Wesley and Matthew. Brothers Antonio Barrientos of Lyford, TX, Enrique Barrientos of Little Elm, TX, Silberto Gonzales of Indiana, sisters Elodia Vasquez of Lyford, TX, Manuelita Budz of Arizona and very special sister and brother-in-law, Johnny and Dora Garcia.
